Pepe immediately fit right into our crazy family and has embraced every ounce of love; or maybe demand is a better word lol! He sure loves his pets and cuddles! After the loss of one of our dear kitties Pepe has done wonders to bring all of our other kitties back to their normal and has done amazing with two more kitties in need joining our family. My husband and my two girls fell in love instantly! Adoption was definitely the best thing for all of us. Leah

Grizabella has been with us since we adopted her in 2017 when she was only 11 weeks old. She is the sweetest, most lovable cat who enjoys cuddling. She has the biggest more unique personality of any cat I have ever encountered, sometimes I think she sees herself as human, lol. My husband looked for months trying to find the perfect kitten after we lost our previous fur baby of 16 years who left a huge void in our lives. Grizzy B has definitely been able to fill that emptiness and bring us much love and happiness ❤️ Cherry

Hinata

Hinata came to me with her siblings as fosters and she instantly made herself at home! She is such a loving little girl who enjoys kisses, pets, cuddles on your face, etc! She will nibbels on my lips ring before she gives me kisses and every single night she is either cuddles up next to my face or my husbands! She gets along with my 5 other kitties and also helps our other foster kittens warm up to the new houseツ she is a very silly girl with a calm temperamentツ

Shasta

We adopted Shasta as a puppy 11 years ago. She was part of the Soda Pop puppy litter. She has been the best dog and continues to brighten our lives daily!

Seamus

This is Seamus, aka Tigger/Shala. We've been roommates for a month now, and he's become king of the house. He's caught four mice (we have a tally next to his food bowl). He's an entertaining and loving fellow, as well as intent upon his 'job' in the household. He also enjoys getting his drinks from the bathroom faucet and accompanies me every time I go in there (to save me from mice, I'm sure!)

While visiting family and going to our favorite Mexican restaurant (near Priest River Animal Rescue) my roommate saw the add for Khody. He was the pet of the month. I fell INSTANTLY in love with this little dude! I was surprised he was still available. What a joyous blessing that he was. I think it was meant for the two of us to connect and I'm so thankful and grateful that he chose me. What makes Khody special is he's the most loveable goof boy ever!

Moose

Lilly

Hi Ms. Laura, I am not sure if you remember me. My name is Lilly and I was at your rescue for a little while until my furever family came to get me in March 2022. I just thought I would send you a picture of me (attached) so you can see how well I am doing. Do you like my pink and purple necklace? My new family LOVES me sooooo much. They got me this really pretty collar so that everyone knows where I live. My new family also plays ball with me in our big backyard and they take me for walks everyday so I can do my meet and greets with the other doggy kids in my neighborhood. I hope you are doing well and thanks for taking such good care of me during my stay with you. I hope you like my picture. Mommy took it while I sat under a tree in our yard. It was so HOT that day and I needed to cool off before resuming our playdate together. 😊 Woof! Woof!

Just an update on our big boy. We are now in a house on 3 acres. He loves sitting outside in the sun and watching the deer. But he loves sleeping on the couch with his big sister, too.

Rocky B

Here are his update photos! He's a certified seizure alert/ mobility dog, who responds to more than 8 different ASL commands, plus all the standard good dog behaviors. He goes into restaurants, stores, and even escorts me during dental procedures, to make sure to alert me in case of impending seizures. Since adopting Rocky, I've been able to regain my independence and enjoy my life again, with my best friend by my side. When I adopted him I said he would ALWAYS be by my side... and I meant it. His next big step is his DOT certification, which will allow him to fly with me. He's ready for his big test, and will be completing that soon! I'm grateful for him, AND to all the volunteers that work so hard to keep your amazing shelter functioning. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Nub

Nub has settled in well, and he purrs and chirps nonstop! He loves to sit by the window in his cat tree looking out at the lake, and he sleeps in my bed curled under my arm. He is the sweetest and most well-behaved kitty ever and my whole family loves him. Thanks PRAR for giving me my best friend!!

Triscuit

After loosing our cat Peppy a year ago of 19 years was really hard. We adopted Sean. His new name is Triscuit. He is doing very good. He's growing fast. He is very smart and full of energy. We love him very much. Priest River Animal Shelter has great employees, very nice and take good care of animals.

Lucy

Lucy is a great dog who loves her new home. She really loves going camping and running around outside. She is quite spoiled! Her favorite toys are rubber chuck-it brand balls. She loves showing off her custom doggy apparel whenever she goes out. She has become a master of sit, lay down and to shake hands but it didn’t take her long to learn as she’s very smart. Thank you all for everything.

Mittens & Merlin

Adopted March 2022 & September 2022
I adopted Mittens (previously Buffy) in March 2022 and then Merlin in September 2022... They are sister and brother. Both are shy but Mittens warmed up after about two weeks of hiding. I am still working with Merlin's trust. Both will follow me around the house and sleep with me. Love these two!!! Thank you PRAR!

Dillion & Brook

Just wanted to update all of you on how Dillon and Brook (renamed to Ken(ny) and Barbie) are! They are doing extremely well. They are quite fond of each other now. They play together now which is a big step since it took some time for them to warm up to each other. They love to snuggle in bed with us and love to purr. One of their favorite things to do is watch the sunrise in the window sill together. I’m so glad we adopted them from PRAR. They are so loved and are such a wonderful addition to our family.

Bandit

Bandit is doing great! Kona and Bandit can already be together off leash in the fenced area. Introductions on lead were made with the other two dogs. He has been introduced to the cats and is fine with them.

Sirius

Greetings, I just wanted to reach out and share how much we are enjoying and loving having Sirius. (I've enclosed a few photos below). We adopted him a little over 3 weeks ago, and his little personality is coming out more and more each day. Overall he's a pretty quiet guy, but lately he has started chirping and squeaking with his tiny voice. He has really taken to our dog, playtime (chase the mouse), and watching the world outside the windows. He is so enthusiastic about getting pets, and he's really starting to learn how to snuggle at night. He has become super playful before bed, so we've started calling him "Noche" to denote his wild hour. It's an honor to have him in our home. I just wanted to share a quick update, and to thank you for the all the work you are doing.

Emma

She LOVES water and spends hours with Gus (her best water buddy ever -in the photo with her) in her pool which she adorned with tooth marks around the edges. She has taught Gus to drag logs from the woods and chew them on the deck so it appears we have serious termites.Emma has also made friends with Zoe (chocolate lab) and spends hours with her on the deck. Zoe is trying to teach Emma to be a queen but Emma is too energetic to assume that regal composure. (Zoe was exactly like that at Emma's age.) Zoe and Emma do play tug-of-war and share toys. They sleep together on the same dog bed just because it's the Girl's Club designated bed.
